The Red Squad vs. Blue Squad Story Arc

What will have happened, what has happened and what will happen eventually shall all be planned and recorded here.

Back story

  • At a time when The Ancestors and Aliens live in peaceful coexistance, an arm of a Chia Monster created by Chia virus infects the past.
  • The arm shoots out tendrils to infect an animal. The virus needs animal cells to infect. The infected host becomes a plant-animal hybrid. Infection occurs from the inhalation of spores from dead monsters, or from injection by tendrils.
  • The ancestors and aliens create mystical artifacts that can battle the Chia monsters.
  • The war is being lost, the aliens are very susceptible to the virus (99% mutation rate, where as, humans are only mutated 50% of the time).
  • The Ancient War:
    • The infected:
      • The aliens intelligence is reduced to a human level but are not physically. They are the leaders. How smart are the infected aliens? So smart that they could use the alien technology, if so, that is a big problem.
      • The humans lose much of their intelligence but are strong. They are the fighters.
    • The battles:
      • All of the attacks have very little organization, the Chia virus is driven to infect new hosts.
      • Infected aliens make many attempts to gain alien technology.
    • The aliens retreat for fear that the virus may spread to other worlds if they stay. Earth is permenantly quarantined.
    • The humans:
      • During the war a group of elder ancients form Gold Squad.
      • They are able to ascertain the time origin of the Chia virus.
      • The have only vague visions of the origin of the virus, time and place. These visions come from the psychic interrogation of captive monsters. Their subconciousness houses these memories from the first hosts.
      • They send a member of their legion, the fourth member’s soul to the future to stop the chia virus from ever being created.
      • The forth member is Omwah.
      • During a three day period Gold Squad watches glimpses of Omwah’s mission. They can see vague visions of his existence in the future through sacred fire they meditate around. In the sacred smoke, they view his death. Enraged and as a last resort, they focus all their power on the imprisonment of the two they believe are responsible. They project their spirits into the future and imprison the two in an alien prison dimension, now abandoned. The process is so powerful that their bodies die.
    • The outcome:
      • The war is eventually won, but millions have died, and all contact with the aliens has been lost.
      • How did they win? How could they possibly, if every animal could be infected? Or if the infected aliens are intelligent?

Present

  • Nilpoint is not directly responsible for the chia virus, he has harnessed the power of Chia to create weapons, but not a virus.
  • Omwah arrives in the future and comes to resides in the body of a Native American baby who died during birth but was resurrected when Omwah entered it.
  • He grows up at first not knowing his true self. He has only vague memories and ideas that become stronger over time. At a very young age he feels strongly motivated to study martial arts, something he will keep doing his entire life.
  • Omwah’s visions of the Origin become clearer as he exists closer to its occurrence in time.
  • He is drawn to Nilpoint by unreasonable "feelings."
  • Omwah attempts to destory Nilpoint on his own but is defeated by his Chia Spray. He realizes he needs help. The chia spray confirms his suspicions about Nilpoint.
  • He makes a friend at a technology exposition where he is looking for devices to help him in the job he must do.
  • Omwah senses power in Mr. Yuk and after convincing him of Nilpoint’s danger they join forces
  • Mr. Yuk sneaks into Nilpoint’s home and shaves his head after a public encounter with Nilpoint that angers him
  • This incident gives Nilpoint the idea and reason to develop more powerful Chia weapons
  • Mr. Yuk and Omwah notice the increased activity and perform surveillance on Nilpoint
  • Nilpoint tries to kill Mr. Yuk in retaliation for his lost hair
  • The unsuccessful assasination causes Mr. Yuk and Omwah to attempt a surprise attack disguised as a show down
  • The attack goes horribly wrong when Omwah’s body is killed (actually only his host)
  • The Ancient Gold Squad members feel Omwah’s death and using a mystic ritual propel their spirits to the present time where they appear before Mr. Yuk and Nilpoint.
  • Not knowing who is responsible for Omwah’s death they transport the two to an abandoned alien prison dimension, that they have no control over. It is a sparse desert forest plane with weird spacial geometry that does not allow them to leave a certain area
  • Gold Squad is not aware that the aliens have different ideas about punishment and rehabilitation. When Red and Blue settle their ways, and pass the Test they are rewared with getting to chose a new time, in which to start a new life. (What happens to the attenuator?)
    • The prison: Mr. Yuk and Nilpoint are taught they must overcome there differences
    • The prison: Mr. Yuk and Nilpoint bond and become friends
    • The prison: They are eventually enlightened when they realize the force is not the way
    • The reward: When examining the time portal, they see the future, it is over run by Chia Monsters. A severed arm of a monster is kicked into the past after a monster attempts to come through the portal.
    • The reward: They make their way back to a time 3 months after they left
  • Mr. Yuk vows to bring Omwah back somehow, he doesn’t know his soul is in the past.
  • The government finds Omwah’s body and takes it to a government lab for research. With the Chia and Omwah’s former body fused together it is a horrendous source of Shadow.
  • Mr. Yuk find a journal of Omwah’s which he shows to Nilpoint. It is mostly in an unintelligable language except for some English that refers to ancient relics that were used to fight off monsters in the past.
  • Omwah’s wrote this down because wants to look for the relics because of their general purpose magical abilities, he believes they could help him fight
  • Nilpoint and Mr. Yuk only have a sketch of one side of a relic in order to aid them in finding it
  • After many hours searching through Nilpoint’s personal books, Nilpoint finds a book that contains a rubbing from a temple that looks like the drawing from Omwah’s journal
  • The book gives details about a temple found accidentally by an explorer which could never be found again
  • They travel to South America searching for the temple using the details found in the book
  • They discover nothing until they wander down a mountain path illuminated a strange gold glow
  • They find a cave that is part of an underground passage way
  • They follow the passage into an underground temple where they find many relics and icons
  • They search around the temple chamber until Mr. Yuk finds the exact relic they are looking for
  • Mr. Yuk calls Nilpoint over to see the relic
  • When Nilpoint comes close the relic flies at him and upon contact makes him disappear
    • The relic attacks because it senses Chia in Nilpoint
  • The relic falls to the ground and Mr. Yuk stands not knowing what to do for several minutes
  • Seperation
    • Smash is attacked by the relic, apparently destroyed, but actually sent back to the alien prison dimension.
      • Is there a test?
  • Seperation (time sphere)
    • Smash gains access to the time sphere.
      • Uses the opportunity to study the time stream, to try to figure out, what is going on with the strange plant beasts in the future.
      • Like the last time, the further he tunes from the current time, the more staticky the image becomes, the is because the portal is more unstable.
      • Smash can’t ascertain too much, by looking at the future, not because it is too blurry, but because Smash doesn’t know where to look (i.e. where and when the monsters where created)
      • All Smash can figure out is that the modern world has been destroyed, there are very few humans, monsters everywhere.
  • Seperation (the past)
    • Smash watches the first imprisonment of Mr_Yuk and Smash, to get a better look at Gold Squad, they are only apparitions, but Smash sees a mark on their golden robes that is very similar to the markings in the temple, and Omwah’s journal
    • Smash therefore turns the attenuator to the far past, to the time and location that the ancient temple was built.
      • At first Smash sees a fruitful civilization living in peaceful coexistance with what appear to be aliens. The aliens share their knowledge and technology very carefully with the humans, for they know that mankind is still in its infancy and are not mature enough to wield the power of the alien technology.
      • Then Smash witnesses the beginnings of the Chia war, many are killed, and infected.
      • Smash sees the aliens and man fighting back with mystical artifacts, but still losing, the aliens retreat.
      • Smash sees the formation of Gold Squad from the village elders, and the war’s leader, Omwah, the noblest fighter.
      • Is this the same Omwah, that Mr_Yuk was allies with!!?
      • Smash watches the ritual, to send him to the future, Smash witnesses, his alliance with Mr_Yuk, this must be the same Omwah!
      • When Smash Nilpoint detroys Omwah’s host body Omwah’s soul reenters his body in the past, but he tries to stand but collapses and falls into a coma, all the other members of Gold Squad are dead.
      • The portal begins to turn snowy again, the view clears up apparently several weeks into the future, Omwah is concious but still rehabilitating himself
      • It appears that he is trying to perform the ritual that sent his soul into the future again, but he is not successful.
      • Smash believes he is responsible for all this destruction, and knows he has to stop his past self from developing the Chia weapon (not the virus)
  • Seperation (the past, trapped in the past)
    • As he begins to attenuate to the present day, a huge grotesque, chia monster, rises up behind him, it screams at him, and then it thrashes at him knocking him through the portal into the past.
    • Smash is badly hurt from the attack, and burned from the trip through the unstable portal, luckly the ancients use mystic powers and alien technology, to heal him.
    • He still has the attenuator with him!! However, it appears to be damaged, and without the magnifying effects of the sphere it can’t not open a portal for matter travel. However, it is possible to send a message.
    • Smash tells Omwah everything and what Mr_Yuk is trying to do, Omwah gives a message for Smash to send to Mr_Yuk in the future while he is in the temple.
    • Mr_Yuk can’t figure out what just happened to Nillpoint. He examines the relics in the temple and determines the place is actually an ancient library.
    • A hazy image of Smash appears and gives Mr_Yuk instructions on which relics to place in the teleportation pedestal in the center of the room
    • Smash has further instructions but the transmission turns snowy, he is not able to tell Mr. Yuk the dangers he will encounter
    • Smash heads to the temple, Omwah’s body is slumped on the floor, an apparition of Omwah is standing on the relic. He is flickering and fading, and screaming.
    • Smash has no idea what is going on, but the ritual appears to be going badly.
    • Mr_Yuk places the correct relics into the pedestal and starts the transporter
    • He watches as it glows and does not seem to do anything
    • Omwah is flickering out in the past
    • Thinking that his body is needed as a beacon, Mr_Yuk runs and leaps on to the pedestal
    • He is lifted into the air and has Omwah transported to him. During the process he blacks out and is teleported outside of the temple into the middle of the jungle
  • The Seperation (end of chapter)
  • The transportation ritual horribly disfigures Mr. Yuk. His skin is now thick and a dark black color. The skin looks like a dry lakebed does, cracked.
  • When Mr. Yuk regains conciousness, he hears another voice inside his head besides his own. It is very weak at first, but over time grows stronger
  • Mr. Yuk begins to dream things from Omwah’s life
    • Omwah is from a race of ancients, a member of Gold Squad, and in a horrible war
  • His sanity is in a very fragile state
    • The dreams and the voice are making him think he is going crazy
    • He discovers new powers that he does not believe he can possibly have
  • Mr. Yuk has moments of time that he does not know where he has been
    • He is spending part of his time as Omwah
    • During his time as Omwah, Omwah meditates trying to bring convergence to their souls and minds
  • Finally the two beings converge and Mr. Yuk realize Omwah is with him
  • Omwah reveals to him:
    • That his soul was too weak to transport back through the previous ritual, Mr. Yuk’s body was needed as a host
    • The remaining members of Gold Squad are dead. Omwah feels that the future of his world is all up to him.
  • Omwah as the dual being begins to call themselve returns to the temple. He/They find it has been damaged. The ritual has fused many of the relics to the walls. So much powerful magic is lost
  • Omwah manages to find a relic for temporal location. This relic was made in order to help alien time machines lock onto a position and time. They intend to use it to help bring Nilpoint when they return hom
  • On their way back to civilization they are attacked by a village of tribal people who think he is a monster
    • The hard skin helps protect him from the primitive arrows
    • Seeing their weapons have no affect on him they bow down and worship as a god
    • Hungry after not eating for several days, Omwah/Yuk dines with them.
    • Omwah notices that this tribe lives among ruins of his old city. These people are his ancestors.
    • Using shadow powers he leaves the next morning with out their knowledge
  • Eventually Omwah/Yuk return home
    • They have to wear clothes that hide their hideous form
  • Back in the city Omwah/Yuk flips on the television in order to relax
    • They see that there is a mysterious disease harming people in the ghettos of the city
    • He/they know it is the chia problem
  • They bring back Nilpoint and all three decide to travel to the inner city to live as bums in order to discover just what is going on…

Future

  • The world is seemingly over run with Chia monsters

Ideas

  • The Chia monster in the time sphere is enourmously powerful, the dark and mystical properties of the sphere allow it to evolve into the worst Chia, The Chia Abomination.
  • Perhaps, the mystical technology could not heal Smash properly, because of his exposure to the Chia Abomination. After Omwah leaves Smash’s condition starts to worsen, but mostly held in check because of his previous exposure to Chia. He has an immune response.

Problems

  • How was the war won?
    • Global Ice Age, or a tremendous burst of solar light (the Chia’s prefer the dark)
    • Smash’s immune response.
  • There is a time loop concerning the creation of the Chia virus, ignorable.
    • The original virus that started the time loop was created by Smash Nilpoint, with no Blue Squad to thwart him, he was left to develop the dark properties of the Chia for his grand finale, Harmony. A by product of his research to create Harmony, produces the chia virus. It is a disgusting, forceful, unharmonious substance. However, Smash is intrigued, and puts it in isolation so that he may come back to study it a later time should he exhaust more evident routes towards Harmony. As time passes the virus evolves and becomes more virulent. During the temporal experimentation stages of Smash’s research, he creates a temporal shear, half his lab is destroyed and the virus is transported to the past.
  • If the aliens can time travel, why wouldn’t they simply defeat the Chia at it’s origin.
    • The war happened too quickly for the aliens to study the monsters thoroughly, they believe it to be a naturally occuring phenomenon. Therefore, they choose to abandon Earth and quarantined.
