I never thought it possible, but I have been able to write some new stories:

  • Chuck - Sometimes people and animals seem to have the ability to change hearts by their simple presence.

Layed out before you now is a collection of various stories I have written over the years. Most of these stories involve supernatural occurances, although that is not the exclusive theme of my thoughts.

  • A Simple Message - This story is based on a real event that happened to me. I actually did get emails asking me if I was James F. McDuffie. Hopefully, I can one day find the original emails that led me to create this story.
  • Billy and Bobby - Lines for the pages of a childrens book with a moral message
  • Blackness - I had this story idea in mind for awhile before I wrote it. The piece you see here is in my opinion too short for the topic. I am not totally satisfied with this version of the story and hope to one day rewrite it.
  • Cold Prison - I wrote Cold Prision upon returning to my room after a meeting. I was feeling very sorry for myself because I did not think anyone was giving me the attention I deserved. I wrote this story in my despair and then posted it to a newsgroup with the subject: "Meat." The plan worked and I got the attention I wanted.
  • Don’t Steal From Me - I wrote this story after part of my bike was stolen from school. The stealing that was done to me is the opposite from that in the story. This story is not based on real life.
  • Growing - This story used to be fraught with logic and grammar errors. I must have not been paying attention as I wrote those words. But, now it is better and actually readable.
  • Havokinica, aka 5-5-2000 - I made up a fake holiday and named it Havokinica. I set it to coincide with a planetary alignment (thanks to Jon for this tip). I then wrote a computer program that updated my email signature at work with the number of days till the fake holiday. This story is what I sent people whenever they asked what Havokinica was. The ideas in here form the base for the radio script Hitchhiker. Also the ideas in the story are based off of a characther of mine named Omwah.
  • “Its just a train! Nothing more, nothing less.” - This piece was written after I developed a comptuer program that calculated the times when computers on the school’s network were turned on. I saw interesting pictures so I wrote this humourous piece in order to reveal the results in a not too serious way.
  • Monad - Monad was written many many years back. In fact it is one of my first stories. It is an imaginative story but shows a certain amount of immaturity.
  • One Man Wondering and Hoping - After rereading this piece, I have realized that it is a sort of manifesto to my feelings. It describes all that I want out of life and from love. Know this piece and you know me well.
  • Ramblings, Crazy - I am not sure why I wrote this and never showed it to anyone to ask their opinion on it. It is about a guy who tries to commit suicide, fails and has a new realization on life.
  • Sidewalk Occurrence - This piece is short and sweet. It’s conclusion is both creepy and unexpected.
  • The Enlightenment Loop - The Enlightenment Loop was written in honor of a great teacher who really made me feel like I was something special.
  • The Sport of the Next Millenium: Trunking - Here is another humourous piece. It talks about how riding in the trunks of cars will be the new sport to sweep the world. I was inspired by my own ride in a friend’s trunk.

Unfinished Works

These are stories I started but never got around to finishing. These stories are not edited in any way. Some of them might eventually get worked on, but it has been so long since I wrote them that I will probably just work on other pieces.

  • Know What to Say - I wrote this while in California. It came to mind after I was sort of depressed. But, I got stuck at the end and then never came back to it.
  • The Omwah Chronicles - This was an attempt to document a character from the Red Squad vs. Blue Squad pages. Since that story has picked back up I have more interest in continuing this as well.
  • Blabber - I do not know when I wrote this. I have only a vague idea as to why. I think I had low self esteem low at that time I started working on it.
