Antennas StatusThere a few problems and issues with the club antennas upon the mesa. The rotator on the Rohn 45 tower currently has an unknown issue and its operation is described as “flaky.” The loading coil on the reflector of the 40 meter Yagi is damaged so the antenna currently only operates as a rotary dipole. There are currently no dedicated WARC band antennas due to wind damage of those antennas. The R7000 vertical fell off the water tower when the mast fractured several years ago in a wind storm and has not been fixed and put back up. The A3WS WARC yagi with 30 meter rotary dipole was also damaged in a wind storm. This antenna has been removed from the crank-up tower that is located near water tank pending repair or replacement. The K9AY loop receive antennas (for 80 meters, 160 meters) have termination issues that need diagnosis. The following is a summary of what DOES work:
